AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
It Matters Ministries offers an after-school program in Belize where children can grow academically and spiritually. We focus on helping kids learn to read and write while also introducing them to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Through a Christ-centered environment, we aim to build a strong foundation for each child's future.

Around 65% of children between the ages of 1 and 14 have endured physical punishment, often severe, and many also suffer from psychological abuse and aggression by their parents or caregivers.

Just 24% of children receive support from their fathers as they grow, and even a mother’s presence isn’t certain, with only 68% caring for their children in their early years.

Only 55% of children have access to quality early education. While most attend primary school, many don’t continue to high school—only 63% of girls and 57% of boys enroll in secondary school.
