It Matters Ministries

Sharing God’s love with children in Belize.

Helping children reach their full potential spiritually and academically through our afterschool program in Belize, Central America.

Our Afterschool Program

Every child deserves to know they matter.

At our afterschool program in Belize, children experience a safe and supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and feel loved each day. Through academic support, structured small groups, and meaningful mentorship, they build friendships, develop confidence, and learn valuable life skills.

We also teach the importance of self-care, the dangers of drugs and gangs, and the lasting hope found in Jesus.

Why it matters

The reality many children in Belize face every day.

65%
of children in Belize experience physical punishment or psychological aggression at home. Many grow up in environments marked by violence, fear, or instability — shaping the way they see themselves and the world around them.
24%
of children receive consistent support from their fathers during early childhood. Many children lack stable guidance, encouragement, and healthy role models during some of their most formative years.
55%
of children in Belize have access to quality early childhood education. This leaves many children starting school already behind academically, socially, and emotionally.

Sponsor a child

$50 a month opens a doorway.

When you sponsor a child, you help provide a safe place where they can grow, learn, and know they are deeply loved. Your gift provides academic support, mentorship, snacks, and discipleship — creating a safe and encouraging environment for children every day, all year long.
